Author Guidelines

The African Journal of Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Development Research (AJEIDR) publishes rigorous and relevant scholarship that advances understanding of entrepreneurship, innovation and development. The journal welcomes research centred on Africa and the Global South as well as comparative and international work with clear relevance to its aims and scope.

AJEIDR welcomes diverse theoretical, methodological and epistemological traditions and encourages scholarship that contributes to academic knowledge, policy, practice and sustainable development.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

·         The manuscript fits AJEIDR's aims and scope.

·         The paper is original and is not under consideration elsewhere.

·         The main manuscript is within the recommended 9,000-word limit, or any exception is justified.

·         A 150–250 word abstract and 4–6 keywords are included.

·         The blinded manuscript contains no unnecessary author-identifying information.

·         A separate title page has been prepared.

·         All authors have approved the submission.

·         Research ethics information is included where applicable.

·         Funding and conflict-of-interest statements are included.

·         An AI-use statement is included where applicable.

·         A data-availability statement is included where relevant.

·         Tables and figures are numbered, titled and cited in the text.

·         References follow APA 7th edition and have been cross-checked.

·         Permissions have been obtained for third-party copyrighted material where required.

·         The manuscript has been proofread for clarity, consistency and language.
